Nick Offord founded Red7Marine with a mission to be the UK’s Marine Partner of Choice and leading provider of jack-up barges to the construction industry.
Nick’s career in the construction industry began in 1984 after completing a Construction Management degree in Brighton. Following this he began working for Geoffrey Osborne Ltd with a position on the Management Training Scheme, before progressing to running his own projects as a Site Agent.
Following this, Nick moved to Laing Civil Engineering and furthered his passion for structural steelwork on the Sizewell B nuclear power station project. He then moved to Hong Kong for five years with Maeda Corporation working on Black Point Power Station and the New Airport on Chek Lap Kok.
Nick returned to the UK in 1999 and combining his interest for structural steelwork with marine plant and overwater working, he founded his first business Haven Ports Ltd. Today, Red7Marine is a multi-million-pound business that works with the UK & Europe’s leading construction companies and currently operates a fleet of 11 jack-up barges. Nick was a founding member of IJUBOA and is now acting Chairman.
