We are delighted to share the highlights of our recently concluded Annual General Meeting (AGM), held this year at the prestigious Seawork exhibition in Southampton. The event proved to be an incredible opportunity for our members to come together, exchange knowledge, and celebrate our shared passion for the maritime industry.
The AGM, held on 14th of June, was a great success, with members from all corners of the globe joining us in Southampton.
One of the standout features of this year's AGM was the impressive lineup of speakers who shared their insights on a diverse range of topics. Attendees enjoyed the variation of speakers sparking stimulating discussions that will undoubtedly help to shape the future of our industry. Thank you again to our speakers John Lloyd (The Nautical Institute), David Tournay (Maritime Skills Alliance), Nicholas Warren (SMS), Pete Lowson (UK Coastguard), Laurie Thornton (Mintmech), Patrick McDaniel (Swifttrack) and Mark Hayward (DNV).
In addition to the AGM presentation, we were delighted to continue the event in the Waterfront Restaurant at Seawork where new connections were forged, and existing relationships were strengthened.
Seawork, a renowned platform for the commercial marine and workboat industry, served as the perfect backdrop for our AGM. The event not only provided a platform to showcase the latest innovations and advancements in our field but also facilitated meaningful conversations and collaborations among industry professionals.
We extend our gratitude to the organising committee and our members, for making this AGM a truly unforgettable event. Your presence, active participation, and unwavering support have been instrumental in the success of IJUBOA and our mission to drive safety in the marine industry.
We look forward to building on the momentum generated at the AGM as we continue to work towards our shared goals. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming events, training, and opportunities for collaboration. Remember to keep engaging with your fellow members and leveraging the network that IJUBOA provides.
