Membership Categories

Full Members

Full members are those that own and operate Jack-up barges, click here to see our current full members.

Last year IJUBOA introduced a new Gold Standard Tiering System for our Full Member companies.

IJUBOA's Gold Standard audit promotes recognised quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) management and best practice within the industry. To comply with The IJUBOA Code of Practice, each Company has to demonstrate suitably managed QHSE Management System Standards. This involves an audit on company procedures, how the business operates, the management team, emergency response and much more. This is something that in turn, can be promoted to end-clients to provide confidence and assurance in their chosen vessel operator. Our team of experts are on-hand every step of the way to provide guidance and support throughout this audit.

Corporate Members

Corporate members is suitable for Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors who charter jack-up barges for their projects. Both consulting engineers and end client organisations will fall within this category also.

Associate Members

Associate member category is suitable for brokers, recruitment/crewing agencies and training companies.

Professional Members

Professional member category is suitable for individuals who hold membership with a relevant professional body which has been approved as equivalent to a qualification.
If you are registered with a professional body which is outside of the UK OR if you are a Director or Senior Manager in a relevant organisation then please contact IJUBOA with your application requirements and we will review the application request.

Honorary Members

Given at the directors discretion.

Barge Master Membership

Barge Master membership is suitable for individuals working as a Barge Master and use our online logbook system to record sea-service and sit the Barge Master exam.
